Matchbox Twenty is an American rock band, formed in Orlando, Florida in 1995. With vocalist and rhythm guitarist Rob Thomas at the helm, their mix of post-grunge and pop rock earned them mass appeal. Their debut album, Yourself or Someone Like You, was released in 1996 and was an international success, certified Diamond by the RIAA. It featured four charting singles, with "Push" becoming their first huge hit. Their next album Mad Season reached platinum status as well and yielded the hit "Bent". The group's third album, More Than You Think You Are, released in 2002, provided an even bigger hit with single "Unwell". Their most recent album, North, released in 2012, brought the group's good fortunes back as single "She's So Mean" made the Top 40. They have now sold over thirty million albums worldwide and have a dedicated fan base.
