About New Candys

New Candys are a four-piece psychedelic rock band from Venice, Italy, comprising guitarist Fernando Nuti, drummer Dario Lucchesi, bass player Matteo Spinello, and Giovanni Carù. The band have been releasing music since 2009, with their most recent album, Flowing Souls, arriving in 2019.

New Candys's music is an eclectic mix of classic and contemporary psych rock, ranging from soft and clouded dreamscapes to loud and heavy riffs. This versatility has seen them gain recognition among fans of modern shoegaze and experimental music. Their live shows are highly praised and have become a highlight of the European psych-rock circuit.

New Candys have released four studio albums to date, supplemented by several EPs, splits releases, and contributions to soundtracks. In 2020 they collaborated with Dave Milner and film director Mauro Borrelli on a critically acclaimed live set which was released as a live album.
