Normani went solo in 2018 and launched her solo music career with R&B and pop influenced tracks, including collabs with artists like Sam Smith and Ariana Grande. She released her debut EP in 2019, which debuted at number 7 on the Billboard 200. She has since released a single called “Motivation” along with collabs with Megan Thee Stallion and 6lack. Her acting career has also seen her appear in several films and television shows, such as The Hate U Give and Star. She’s also graced the stage as a dancer with Taylor Swift at the music videos for “Me!” and “You Need to Calm Down”.
