About Ocean Alley

Ocean Alley avatar

Ocean Alley have captivated audiences around the world with their infectious melody lines and memorable blend of psychedelic-surf-rock.
The band launched into 2023 with vigor, making appearances at Falls Festival, Lost Paradise, Groovin’ The Moo and BASSINTHEGRASS, before announcing their own international run of headline shows for the second half of the year. Outselling their previous personal bests in both quantity and time, shows at huge Australian venues such as Melbourne’s John Cain Arena and Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion sold out immediately and saw extra dates added nationally. The band were also called in by festival heavyweights Splendour In The Grass as a last-minute replacement for Lewis Capaldi, set to return to the iconic Amphitheatre Main Stage for the first time since 2019.

With the release of their fourth album 'Low Altitude Living' in 2022, the band have made it clear that they are unwaveringly dedicated to their craft, and grounded by a genuine passion for the creative exploration of music. The LP was acclaimed critically, with The Australian awarding 4 stars, calling it “a continuation of one of the most impressive bull runs by an Australian rock band in recent memory” and Rolling Stone Australia asserting that “this album will push Ocean Alley further towards major-global-band status". Their 6x Platinum track 'Confidence' took out top spot in the triple j Hottest 100 of 2018, with their acclaimed second album ‘Chiaroscuro’ certified gold in Australia & New Zealand.

The band have solidified their position as one of Australia's most exciting touring acts, making their mark on the local and international circuit with their consistent touring schedule, selling out countless shows across North America, Europe, UK and New Zealand, as well as playing memorable sets in Australia at Splendour In The Grass, Bluesfest, Falls Festival and the triple j One Night Stand, as well as overseas at Reading & Leeds (UK), BottleRock (USA) and Sziget (HUN).
