Sammie is an American R&B singer, songwriter, and actor from St. Petersburg, Florida. He embarked upon his music career as a child, releasing his first single independently in 2000. His debut album, "From the Bottom," then burst onto the music scene in 2003 and praised for its contemporary R&B sounds. The album spawned the hit single, "I Like It" and was certified gold. Sammie's follow-up album, "Sammie," was released in 2006 and contained the popular single, "You Should Be My Girl," which went on to chart in the top 10 of Billboard Hot 100. Sammie has since released several hit singles, including "Feel It" and "Coming of Age." He has performed in numerous live shows, television appearances, and other events throughout the years. Apart from music, Sammie has also tried his hand at acting, appearing in minor roles in films and television shows.
