Shadow of Intent is a metalcore/symphonic deathcore band from Connecticut, formed in 2014. Their current lineup consists of Ben Duerr on vocals, Andre Foisy and Javier de la Grana on guitar, Austin Glendening on bass, and Demon Carcass on drums. The group released their debut album, Primordial, in 2016 and have gone back into the studio numerous times since then, releasing five more full-lengths. Their music often combines heavy metalcore with dark and blackened death metal elements, often featuring strings and orchestral work alongside frequent deathcore breakdowns and melodic guitars. In addition to their full-length albums, they've released a plethora of EPs, singles, and splits since their inception. Shadow of Intent have earned praise for their unique blend of melodic metal and symphonic death metal, setting them apart from most other metal acts.
