She Past Away is a post-punk/darkwave duo from Istanbul, Turkey. They were formed in 2006 by Volkan Caner and Idris Akbulut and have since released four studio albums. Their sound has been labeled as nostalgic of the 80s goth scene and a mix of synth-driven modern post-punk. She Past Away has been admired for their carefully crafted layers of minimalistic instruments which are held apart by an evocative, distant longing vocals. They have toured extensively throughout Europe and North America. While growing a large fanbase, the duo has been praised for neo-retro sound, songwriting, and aesthetic.
