About Soko
Soko (born Stéphanie Sokolinski) is a French singer, songwriter, actress, and director. She started her career as a singer-songwriter in 2007 and released her critically acclaimed debut album I Thought I Was an Alien in 2012. Soko is known for her unique blend of indie-rock and dream pop, and her emotionally charged lyrics. She has since released two more albums, My Dreams Dictate My Reality (2015) and Feel Feelings (2019). Along with her musical career, Soko has acted in and directed several films and music videos, including the 2014 film “La famille Bélier”. She has also collaborated with musicians such as M.I.A, The Neural Genera, and Ariel Pink. In 2018, Soko was nominated for a European Border Breakers Award. She continues to write, record, and perform music around the world.
