Tami Neilson is a country and roots singer-songwriter from New Zealand. Her music draws upon the classic sounds of classic country, roots and rockabilly to create something truly unique. Neilson’s music career began back in 2000 when she sang backing vocals for her brother's alt-country band The Neilson Family. She went solo in 2002 to pursue her own career and has since released six solo albums and two collaborative albums. Tami Neilson was the recipient of a prestigious Silver Scroll award for her powerful single “Walk (Back to Your Arms)” in 2018, and at the 2020 New Zealand Music Awards, was inducted into the NZ Music Hall of Fame. Neilson’s belting voice and spirited melodies have propelled her to the top of the country and roots scene and helped her build a loyal fan base.
