About The Blues Brothers (Band)
The Blues Brothers (Band) is an American blues and soul revivalist band founded in 1978 by comedians Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi as part of a musical sketch on Saturday Night Live. The group gained unprecedented commercial success from their number one single "Soul Man" and memorable soundtrack to the 1980 film The Blues Brothers. They continued performing and recording in various line-ups over the next two decades, bringing the band international recognition. In the late 1990s, a surviving member of the original line-up regrouped the band and in 2013, the group performed a historic reunion concert at the iconic House of Blues in Chicago, Illinois. These days, the band continues to tour the world, bringing their classic blues-soul sound to audiences around the globe.
