The Ophelias began in 2016 with the meeting of four friends at Oberlin Conservatory of Music—Rachel Price, Iris Jennings, Kristina Bendana, and Sophie Ike-Moscony. After graduating, the quartet moved to Boston where they refined their sound and released their debut EP in 2018. With a unique blend of indie-folk, dark-pop-aether, and guitars, the EP quickly caught the attention of music fans. The Ophelias spent much of 2019 on tour, playing headline shows all over North America while appearing in festivals like The Great Escape, NOHO, and Flyover. The band released their debut album Always Look on the Bright Side in 2020 to critical acclaim. Recently they shared new single and video for “Wastin' Time” which further showcased their creative blend of styles.
