The Searchers were a popular British Invasion band from Liverpool in the early 60s. They are best known for their three top 5 hits "Love Potion No. 9", "Needles and Pins", and "Sugar and Spice". They had a distinctive jangly guitar sound and incorporated elements of folk and rockabilly. Throughout their career, they released 12 studio albums and toured extensively, becoming one of the longest lasting band of the British Invasion. Later in their career they embraced psychedelia and began experimenting with more psychedelic arrangements. The Searchers continue to be active in their hometown, performing a mixture of their classic hits and newer songs.
