The Sooks are an indie-pop band formed in Istanbul in 2007. They've released four studio albums to date, starting with 'Paper Trains' in 2008 followed by 'Siverian's Fables' in 2011, 'Lionlike' in 2016, and 'Roots & Branches' in 2018. The Sooks have toured extensively in Europe, and are well known for their energetic live shows as well as mixing folk, indie, rock and country sounds in their music. Their most recent album features songs inspired by growing up in Turkey, from the emotions of folk music to the energy of indie-pop. Their sound has been described as the 'organic Turkish sound', though has been enjoyed by fans from around the world.
