About National Youth Theatre
National Youth Theatre (NYT) is an organization dedicated to creating and developing opportunities for young performers. It was founded in 1956 and is one of the oldest and largest youth performing arts companies in the United Kingdom. It selects and trains students aged 11-22 in all aspects of theatre and performance. The company runs workshops, training, and production programs, and also provides touring performances. It has performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, in professional theatres all around the UK, and even internationally. NYT is known for its wide range of activities including workshops in script writing, improvisation, directing, and much more, making it a valuable resource for young performers.
