Sylvia is a country music singer-songwriter, who has been active in the entertainment industry since 1974. Her debut studio album entitled "Universal Cowboy", released in 1975, spawned three top 20 Billboard Country Chart hits. Throughout her career, Sylvia has recorded a total of eight studio albums between 1975 and 1996, all of which received critical acclaim and achieved commercial success. She was a staple on the country music airwaves throughout the late 1970s and early 1980s, with numerous hit songs including "Nobody", "Tumbleweed" and "You Can't Go Home". Sylvia charted multiple hit singles on the country music charts, becoming one of the most successful female country music performers of the time. She was also a two-time nominee for the Academy of Country Music's Top Female Vocalist award in 1978 and 1979. In 1989, Sylvia was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
