Nils Frahm is a German pianist and composer who has been active in the music industry since the early 2000s. He has released 8 studio albums since 2008, and won various awards including Electronic Music Album of the Year at the 2010 German Music Awards. He has toured across Europe and North America and collaborated with a variety of musicians. His sound has been described as a combination of classical, experimental and electronic. Frahm has also gained notoriety for his live improvised performances as well as his film work with his song “Sunday” being featured in Sofia Coppola’s movie The Bling Ring. He also contributes to music festivals and has founded Durton Studio in Berlin which produces records for music lovers.
