About Waxahatchee
Waxahatchee is an American singer-songwriter from Birmingham, Alabama whose career spans five studio albums. She is known for her signature sound which has been described as 'acoustic punk,' an indie-rock style that includes confessional lyrics and mellow guitar melodies. Her debut album, American Weekend, gained her an underground fanbase and since then she has gained critical acclaim and recognition from a wider audience. Her 2020 album Saint Cloud, won the Independent Music Award for Best Alt/Indie Rock Album. Waxahatchee has embarked on a number of international tours, as well as performing at festivals, such as Primavera, Glastonbury, and Pitchfork. Her records are available through Merge Records and Waxahatchee continues to tour and release music.
