About Daphni

Daphni avatar

Daphni is the musical project of Canadian musician and producer, Dan Snaith. Snaith is also known for his previous projects; under the alias Caribou, for which he won the Polaris Music Prize in 2008, and Manitoba.

Daphni was established in 2012 and has grown rapidly since then. His first album as Daphni, Jiaolong, was released in 2012 to critical acclaim, followed by another album, FabricLive 93, released in 2015.

Daphni continues to tour internationally, performing in several music festivals, including MoMA PS1 Warm Up in New York City, Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago and Sónar Festival in Barcelona. His DJ-sets include an eclectic mix of music genres, from African highlife to psychedelic disco.

Most recently, Daphni released his long-awaited third full-length album, titled Sizzling, in 2018. Reviews of the album praised Snaith's unexpected
