Rivers of Nihil is an American progressive death metal band from Reading, Pennsylvania. Formed in 2009, the band is composed of vocalist Brody Uttley, guitarists Jon Topore and Adam Biggs, bassist Jerry Yates, and drummer Alan Balamut. Rivers of Nihil has released four albums to date, starting with The Conscious Seed of Light in 2013 and including Where Owls Know My Name in 2018. The band is signed to Metal Blade Records and they've gained a dedicated following with their unique blend of death metal, jazz, and electronica. Rivers of Nihil has achieved international success from their critically acclaimed awards, such as the 2018 Metal Storm Award for Best Technical/Extreme album for "Where Owls Know My Name."
