Aba Shanti-I is a legendary Reggae sound system selector, born in Birmingham, England in 1957. He is known for helping to spread sound system culture through his powerful dub sound. Aba Shanti-I first started DJing in 1977 and then moved to London in 1979. He has experienced significant success on the UK reggae scene, headlining well-known events like Kelsey Club and Soul II Soul. He is an avid collector of reggae and dub records and is well known for his highly sought after dub mixes. He has built a loyal fanbase and enjoys playing at some of the UK's biggest Reggae festivals like Sunsplash and One Love.
