Alexander Robotnick is an Italian electronic composer whose albums span the 1980s to the present day. He exploded onto the scene in the early 80s with his pioneering Italo-disco classic, ‘Dance Boy Dance’. This track and others followed the influence of Giorgio Moroder and an emerging interest in synthesizers and electro grooves. He followed this up with 1983’s ‘Problèmes d’Amour', a highly acclaimed minimal-synth album. His music during the 90s and 2000s has variously explored different musical styles such as experimental electronica and techno, where he still pursues his interest in weaving classic analogue sounds into contemporary music. Robotnick continues to record and perform today, internationally renowned as an innovator in the electro-music world.
