About Ali Campbell

Ali Campbell is an English singer-songwriter and musician. He is best known for his time as lead singer of the British reggae band UB40, which he left in 2008. Campbell has released ten solo albums of solo material, ranging from reggae soul to acoustic jazz, blues and pop, and collaborated on two albums with his brother Robin. He has had over forty Top 40 hit singles in the UK, including the 1984 hit single ‘Red, Red Wine’ with UB40. Campbell has twice been nominated for a BRIT Award as Best British Male Singer. In April 2015, Campbell was inducted into the Music Hall of Fame for the UK's Official Singles Chart. Since leaving UB40, Campbell has become one of the UK’s foremost live performers, with sell-out tours across the UK and Europe.
