Blanket is an alternative/indie folk band from Paris, France that formed in 2012. It is composed of singers and songwriters Mélanie Cabaup and Antonin Le Magueresse. Their music is comprised of lilting vocal harmonies, mixed with a dreamy and ambient style of folk. They sing melancholic and intimate lyrics that have been described as beautifully haunting. Blanket has toured throughout Europe, performing intimate shows in clubs and festivals. They released their first two albums, Mayflies and Migrations, in 2018 and 2019, respectively. The albums caught the attention of audiences and critics around the world; Mayflies was nominated for the 2019 French Music Award as Album of the Year. Blanket’s music is intended to transport its listeners to another world, with warm and complex melodies that draw out the beauty of both life and sorrow.
