About Cara Dillon

Cara Dillon is an Irish folk singer who has developed a career based on traditional Irish music. She first gained recognition after being a member of the band Equation. During her time in Equation, she released her first two solo albums, Cara Dillon in 2000 and Sweet Liberty in 2003. Her third album, After the Morning, was released in 2006 and was a huge success, winning awards. Throughout her career, she has won numerous nominations and awards from The Meteor Irish Music Awards, The BBC Folk Awards, and the Pure M Awards. Her most recent album, Wanderer, was released in 2017 and has continued her reputation for being one of the most successful folk singers in Ireland.
