About Counting Crows
Counting Crows is an American rock band formed in Berkeley, California, in 1991. The current lineup consists of lead singer and guitarist Adam Duritz, guitarist and vocalist David Immergluck, bassist Millard Powers, multi-instrumentalist David Bryson, organ player Charlie Gillingham, and drummer Jim Bogios.
The band rose to prominence following the release of their debut single “Mr. Jones” in 1993. The single gained success in the United States, peaking at number five on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The band’s debut album August and Everything After (1993) achieved multi-platinum status and was followed by four more studio albums and several EPs.
The band’s most successful single to date is “Accidentally in Love”, which featured prominently in the popular 2004 animated movie Shrek 2. The band has also garnered Grammy nominations for the albums Recovering the Satellites
