Gomez are a British indie rock band that formed in 1996, in Southport, England. The five-piece are noted for their melodic take on a range of styles, including blues, folk, rock, and electronica. Their sound has evolved over the years, taking in influences as diverse as Asian, Latin, and Americana music.

The band achieved success in the late 1990s that has lasted over the intervening years, with their 1998 album 'Bring It On' eventually being certified double platinum in the UK. They have maintained strong critical and commercial support thanks to albums like 'In Our Gun' (2002) and 'Split The Difference' (2004), and through their various live performances, including multiple Glastonbury Festival appearances.
