About Hachiku

Hachiku is an Australian solo artist and multi-instrumentalist, based in Melbourne. She is best known for her dreamy, experimental indie pop music that combines elements of electronica with folk and garage rock. Hachiku released her debut album, Hachiku, in 2018, and followed it with an EP titled A Pool During A Flood in 2020. The single "Muted Gold" was released ahead of the EP and received acclaim from music critics, praising its well-crafted vocal melodies and lush guitar textures. She has performed at festivals around Australia, such as White Night Melbourne, and supported acts such as The Netherlands and Courtney Barnett. Her music has been featured in television dramas, such as ABC's Total Control, and in films including Serenades. She is also the founder of the music and multimedia label Goodbye Crimes Records.
