About Hamilton Leithauser

Hamilton Leithauser is an indie rock singer-songwriter from Washington, D.C. who gained prominence as the frontman of the popular American indie rock band The Walkmen. He has since embarked on a successful solo career, carving out a critically acclaimed body of work over the course of seven albums beginning with Black Hours in 2014. Leithauser continues to emphasize the melodic power of his voice and relies heavily on his distinct baritone singing style as the primary instrumentation of his records. In addition to his solo output, Leithauser has collaborated with artists such as Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij, Angel Olsen, and Paul Maroon of The Walkmen. His most recent album was Heartstruck Fool – released in 2020 – which has been described as capturing the expansive energy of a live band in the studio setting.
