Heathered Pearls is the musical alter-ego of Pittsburgh producer and electronic artist Jakub Alexander. Working in his home studio, Alexander crafts dreamy ambient soundscapes that draw influence from electro-acoustic, minimal, and post-rock traditions. His debut album, Loyal, released in 2008, features pensive yet beautiful soundscapes with abstract sound design and intricate melodic repetitions. In 2012 he released his second album, Toward the Ice Palace, which further develops his cosmic, meditative aesthetic. In 2017, Alexander released his third album, It Rains in My living Room, on Ghostly International Label. It features a more expansive, experimental sound, exhibiting hi-fidelity production techniques and ambient chillwave moods. Heathered Pearl's music works to transport listeners to remote landscapes and evoke a sense of longing for a more harmonious, explored nature.
