Jesse Cook is a Canadian guitarist, composer and producer who is credited as one of the most influential figures in contemporary acoustic guitar music. He has been playing guitar since he was eight years old and his early influences include a range of guitarists, from flamenco-style to jazz. He has been releasing solo albums since 1995 and has since built a solid fanbase and critical praise for his unique, signature sound. He has been involved in various collaborations with other musicians and often incorporates elements of jazz, flamenco, classical and world music in his work. He has earned several Juno Awards, SOCAN Awards, Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards and a Felix trophy for Songwriter of the Year. He also received an honorary mention from Gangaur Ghat in 2004. He has released 10 studio albums so far, which have reached Gold and Platinum status worldwide.
