Katy Perry is an American singer-songwriter, TV judge and businesswoman. She was born in Santa Barbara, California, in the United States in 1984. After releasing several nationwide albums in her homeland, Perry garnered international recognition in 2008 with the release of her second album 'One of the Boys' and the hit singles "I Kissed A Girl" and "Hot N Cold". Since then, she has released a further five critically acclaimed albums, establishing herself as a powerhouse in the pop music world. As well as being the most streamed female artist of all time, she has had a number of successful collaborations, a Marvel Comic book based on her life, and is also a judge on the American reality show American Idol. Katy Perry is now an international superstar with over 10 million album sales and 102 million followers on Twitter.
