About Los Angeles Philharmonic
The Los Angeles Philharmonic is one of the leading orchestras in the United States, founded in 1919 by Dr William Andrews Clark, Jr. Gustavo Dudamel has been their music director since 2009. Under his direction, the orchestra has gone on to receive numerous international awards and recognitions, such as its nine Grammy awards.
The Los Angeles Philharmonic performs a vast range of repertoire from the classical masters to world premieres from contemporary composers, playing in iconic venues such as the Hollywood Bowl and Walt Disney Concert Hall. In addition to its regular classical concerts, the orchestra has organized festivals, such as the Reykjavík Festival in 2021, featuring composers from the Nordic Countries.
The orchestra also engages with the film industry in Los-Angeles, regularly performing with leading composers. This includes their series “Concerts to Cinema” with director Anoc Pereira. Their more recent collaboration with Hans Zimmer, “Hans
