About Low Island
Low Island is an English four-piece electronic music project from Oxford, UK. Their sound is unique, combining dynamic rhythm and evolving soundscapes, taking elements of pop, post-punk, electronic music, jazz and folk. The band consists of Andy Baxter (vocals, keys), Carlos Posada (drums, synths), Conor Gillies (bass, guitar) and Jamie Taylor (guitar, keys, backing vocals).
Low Island have released one album to date, 'Carve Out the Face of My God', which was released back in February 2020. The album is a mesmeric blend of the aforementioned style, blending dreamy pop production with punk attitude and art-pop complexity. In addition, the band have released a number of EPs, live albums and singles, drawing increasing praise from critics and fans alike.
The band have toured extensively around the UK and Europe, most notably opening for Nick Murphy FKA Chet Faker in 2018
