Maisey Rika is a contemporary Māori musician, singer, and songwriter from the Rakaumangamanga people of Aotearoa, New Zealand. Since her solo debut album in 2002, Rika has emerged as one of her country's leading traditional and contemporary composers, with her music passing through multiple genres and art forms. Rika's lyrics often reflect her heritage, making her a powerful voice for empowering the Māori culture and the environment.

In 2008, Rika co-founded the award-winning all-female group Hinenuitepō, who combine traditional Māori song and language with modern global rhythms. She has supported prominent artists including Jack Johnson and Crowded House, and has been recognized with multiple awards. Recent albums include Songs of Freedom (2014) and Tahi (2020).

In addition to making music, Rika is a passionate environmental activist, advocating for peace and the protection of natural resources.
