Mercyful Fate tickets

Mercyful Fate is a Danish heavy metal band. The group was founded in 1981 by lead singer King Diamond and guitarist Hank Shermann. They released their debut album, Melissa, in 1983 and it was a huge success. They followed that success with a string of highly acclaimed albums including Don't Break the Oath (1984) and Return of the Vampire (1992). Mercyful Fate is known for their intense and unique blend of traditional heavy metal and gothic-style metal. Their influence is broadly demonstrated in the black and doom metal music of the 1980s. They disbanded in 1985 but reformed in 1993 and released new music up until 1999 when they split again. In 2019, their original line-up reunited for a special set at the Hellfest in France.
