My Life Story is an alternative rock band from London, United Kingdom founded by Jake Shillingford in 1996. Their career has seen them releasing five full length studio albums and numerous EPs and singles. Their signature sound is an uplifting combination of orchestral rock and Britpop. They have toured extensively with bands such as Oasis, Suede, The Stereophonics, Supergrass, Travis and Jamiroquai. They are considered to be one of the most successful new wave inspired bands in Britain, and their 2004 double album "Worlds Apart" was particularly successful in both critical and commercial terms. Over the years they have been compared to artists such as Suede, The Pet Shop Boys, The Verve and Siouxsie and the Banshees.
