Sir Mix-a-Lot is an American rapper from Seattle, Washington known for his song "Baby Got Back". He began his career in the late 1980s and released his debut album, Swass, in 1988. The album was a hit, and Sir Mix-a-Lot was subsequently signed to the Def American label. His 1992 album Mack Daddy featured the hit song “Baby Got Back," which was a funk and rap mix and became a number-one hit on the Billboard charts and even earned him a Grammy. In 1994 Sir Mix-a-Lot released a third album Chief Boot Knocka, which was less successful then his previous works. In the 2000s, Sir Mix-a-Lot kept performing and continued to produce hip-hop and rap music. His music has been featured in many films, television shows, and video games. His recent releases have been collaboration projects and remixes which continue to bring fans new music.
