Swoose is an American multi-genre producer, singer, guitarist, and songwriter, based in Nashville, TN. Having grown up in Iowa City, his musical roots are in hip-hop, blues, folk and rock. Swoose's talent was spotted early on; he was signed to an independent record label at age 12 and released an eight-song EP in 2004. After college he returned to songwriting and production, built a successful studio and video team, and began working with major label artists. He released several ambitious solo albums featuring an eclectic mix of styles, such as his 2017 album, Galapagos. Swoose is now working with a variety of well-known producers and artists, including Chris Brown, The Roots, and Jamie xx. His productions often feature complex textures and soulful, unique vocal layering, making them stand out in the music industry.
