The Utopiates is an alternative rock band formed in London in 2012. The band consists of frontman Laurence Robertson, lead guitarist Matthew Leighton, and bassist Jonathan Granger. Their one and only full-length album, aptly titled "Utopia", was released in 2016.

Their sound has been compared to the likes of Interpol and The National – clean echoed lines, compelling melodies, and dreamy vocal harmonies. To date they have released several EPs, singles and music videos, and have had their music featured in films and plays.

The Utopiates are well known for their powerful live performances and heavy touring schedule. They have performed alongside Morrissey and Richard Ashcroft, and have featured at some of the world’s biggest festivals such as Glastonbury and Coachella. They continue to tour the UK and Europe today in support of their album and singles.
