Tim Hart is a British singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has been active in music since the 1980s. Hart is best known as the drummer and vocalist of the folk-rock band Steeleye Span alongside his wife, Maddy Prior. He has released five solo albums, as well as performing on various folk and classical music compilations. Hart's music ranges from contemporary folk-rock to traditional Anglo-Irish music, and he has also written and composed for film and television shows. He has toured extensively in the UK, Ireland, Europe, and the US, appearing at festivals and other venues. In 2007, he was awarded Performer of the Year at the Folk Alliance International Awards.
