Tom Bailey is an English musician and singer best known for his years as a founding member and vocalist of the band the Thompson Twins. As a musician he plays guitar, piano, and keyboards. Bailey's solo career began in the mid-1990s and has seen him explore a variety of influences ranging from world music to electronica, ambient music and trip-hop. He has released three critically acclaimed solo albums, science fiction (1995), Mytho (2016) and Science Fiction: Caught in the Backdraft (2018). He has collaborated extensively with other artists, appearing on over a dozen albums since 2004. Bailey has toured extensively across the UK and Europe. His 2018–2019 tour saw him take in stops in France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands.
