Tony Njoku is a British musician and composer from London. He is known for his deeply reflective, genre-defying sound combining classical, folk, jazz and contemporary elements. Njoku creates spiritual, often emotionally-charged music that captures his own spiritual upbringing in Nigeria. He is part of the Barbès Records family, a label devoted to cutting-edge interconnected music from around the globe. His debut album, Holy Air, was released in 2017 and has received critical acclaim. Since then, he has released a few EPs including 2018's Black Spot and 2019's Spaces Between Us. His music stands out for its various influences, pairing gospel sounds with jazz-infused vocals. He believes in creating music as a tool of transformation and welcomes collaboration with other artists.
