When Chai Met Toast are an Indian acoustic folk duo. Their music combines traditional Indian folk sounds with western genre's such as pop, rock and folk. They are from Kerala, India and have gained a loyal and growing global audience for their unique style that is a refreshing blend of acoustic Indian folk and western pop. Thegroup, which consists of Ashish Jose and Achyuth Jaigopal, rose to fame with the release of their debut album, Chaiyya Chaiyya, in 2015. Since then they have released a second album, The Corner Store, and are currently on tour around Asia and the US. Their music has been featured on popular music streaming platforms such as Apple Music and Spotify, making them one of the more popular rising music artists from the east.
