Ricky Gervais is a well-known British actor, comedian, writer, and director. He gained recognition as the creator, writer, and star of the internationally acclaimed British television series The Office which earned him two Golden Globe awards. He also wrote, directed and starred in Extras, co-wrote, co-directed, and starred in The Invention of Lying, and has recently gained prominence as the host of the Golden Globe Awards.
