Broken Social Scene is a Canadian collective and indie rock band formed in 1999 in Toronto. The band is composed of members from multiple bands and musical styles, including BSS core bandmates Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning, who are joined by an ever-shifting lineup. The band's discography includes four studio albums; Feel Good Lost (2001), You Forgot It In People (2002), Broken Social Scene (2005), and Forgiveness Rock Record (2010). Furthermore, BSS has released several compilations, leading up to their 2003 LP Bee Hives. Through their music and collaborations with other bands, Broken Social Scene has taken part in the Canadian indie rock movement and helped to bring its sound to a broad international fanbase.
