About Circle Jerks
Circle Jerks were a seminal punk rock band that emerged in Los Angeles, California in the late 1970s. At the forefront of the fledgling hardcore punk movement, the band quickly gained a devoted following and achieved critical acclaim. Led by singer Keith Morris and guitarists Greg Hetson and Roger Rogerson, their music was characterized by fierce vocals and memorable riffs. They released their debut album Group Sex in 1980 and followed with Wild in the Streets in 1982, both of which led to the band gaining significant airplay on college and independent radio. Following lineup changes throughout the years, the Circle Jerks disbanded in the mid-1990s but reunited for several tours throughout the 2000s. Though they never achieved mainstream success, the Circle Jerks remain influential to the punk and hardcore scenes to this day.
