Linda Perry is an American songwriter, singer, producer, and former lead singer of the band 4 Non Blondes. She has written songs for many artists, including Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson, Pink, and Gwen Stefani. She is also credited as a music producer for albums by artists such as Ditty, Weezer, Alicia Keys, Courtney Love, and Sara Bareilles. After finding success, Perry started her own record label, Custard Records, home to artists such as James Blunt and P!nk. Linda Perry is a prolific songwriter, often co-writing up to 15 songs on an album. She was the first woman to receive the "Hal David Starlight Award" from The Songwriters Hall of Fame. She is also a voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
