Lea Salonga is a Filipino singer and actress who has had a long and successful international career. She first came to prominence after winning a 1989 run of the Broadway musical 'Miss Saigon', for which she received both a Tony Award and Laurence Olivier award. She has since gone on to have a successful career on the stage, with starring roles in musicals such as 'Les Miserables', 'Flower Drum Song' and 'Allegiance'. Away from the stage, Salonga is a prolific recording artist, having released eight studio albums, all of which have seen commercial success. She is also a prominent voiceover artist, best known for her role as the singing voice of Disney's Mulan. To cap off her career, Salonga has been honoured with many awards, including three Tony Awards and a Disney Legend Award.
