The Wood Brothers are a trio of talented songwriters and musicians, Oliver Wood, Chris Wood, and Jano Rix, who have come together to make their own unique brand of music. Their style integrates blues, rock, folk, and soul. The group was formed in 2005 out of the ashes of two disbanded bands, Medeski Martin & Wood and King Johnson. They have released a total of six studio albums, and have received awards and nominations, including a 2018 Blues Music Award for Best Blues Album. In addition to their own music, the trio has collaborated with the likes of Sam Bush, Elvis Costello, Trombone Shorty, and others. The Wood Brothers career is ongoing, and they continue to tour and bring their music to life in venues worldwide.
