Clint Black is an American country music singer and songwriter. He began his career in the late 1980s, and rose to fame with three consecutive multiple-platinum albums in 1989, 1990, and 1991, after the success of the single "A Better Man" from his debut album Killin' Time. His style has been described as new traditional country and later more contemporary country pop. Black had a series of 56 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, 31 topping it, and more than 18 million albums sold. Black has won many awards, including four Grammy Awards, two Academy of Country Music Awards, a People's Choice Award, and an American Music Award. He has also carved out a successful acting career, appearing in multiple films and shows such as The Magnificent Seven, Postal, Flicka, and The Hero.
